Favorite Sites

This is the site of a program I saw recently about building a luxury green house.  My husband and I fell in love with the design, the fact that it was eco built but very modern with straight lines and a lot of luxury.

They are such warm, comfortable and energy efficient buildings, that we feel everyone should have the privilege to be able to experience and to live in one :-)

That's our goal really - To help get more Straw Bale Homes Designed and Built - and in so doing improve the comfort, quality and energy efficiency of homes built here in New Zealand.

This site is a local New Zealand straw building site

Aardvark Daily

New Zealand's longest-running online daily news and commentary publication, now in its 14th year. The opinion pieces presented here are not purported to be fact but reasonable effort is made to ensure accuracy.

This guy scientifically looks at everything.  His daily page is a great read which my husband loves and his knowledge is impressive.

This link takes you to his comments and research on the water to gas options out there.

As it says on their site this is the former "it ain't easy being green site"

This was one of my favourite TV programs on changing yourself to be green but keeping your luxuries like your vehicles running etc.

I just love what Dick and his family have done and how now Dick and his son James have gone on to help so many others.

Right House takes a whole house approach to home comfort and energy-efficiency. If you’re building a house or want to make your existing home more energy-efficient and comfortable, we can help you with expert advice, products and systems specification and installation.

A really good reference site for building sustainably in New Zealand

Welcome!  This is your information portal  to a more sustainable, eco-architecture in New Zealand

As it says this site is a great information site for sustainable living in New Zealand and abroad

I found this site on digg.  It is a good source for all kinds of eco blogs out there.  Read the comments they mention a lot of of other blogs out there that might just be getting started or are established.
